1. How do you use camera raw as a filter in photoshop cs6???

   1. This was a feature added after CS6 in Creative Cloud.

2. Where is the D800E lens profile? I have been waiting since the D800E was released. I need the profile for the D800E with the 24mm F1.4G ED. You only show the D3X as a choice. How did the D800/D800E slip through the cracks?

3. A lens profile is stored in terms of absolute distance measurements like millimeters or inches so the data is independent of the camera model that was used to create the profile. The only issue is that you cannot use a lens profile from a crop-frame camera with a full-frame camera because the data for the outer portion of the lens circle will be missing from a crop-frame lens profile.

   A full-frame Nikon camera lens profile can be used with full-frame and crop-frame Nikon cameras.
   A crop-frame Nikon camera lens profile can be used with only crop-frame Nikon cameras.

4. What happened with the support for Sony E-mount lenses for the ILCE-6000?

   Worked before, about 2 months ago and now Camera Raw tells me: Can’t find a matching lens profile.
   But the EXIF data shows all the details.

5. Is it the upgrade for the new Nikon D750?

   1. The D750 was supported in 5.7/8.7.

8. I’m having some difficulty getting adobe camera raw to load up camera profiles created with my X-Rite Color Checker Passport Software. It works fine with my Nikon D300, but when I use it to create profiles for my D800, Camera Raw won’t recognize them. Has anyone had a similar issue?

9. Hi,
   I’ve got a Nikon D810, Nikon 50mm 1.4 & 16-35mm lens, along with Photoshop CC. My lenses aren’t recognised in the Lens Corrections section of ACR, unless i’m doing something wrong.

   I really need my wide lens especially to be recognised automatically to speed up the editing process. Can you help? This software costs a lot of money – quite frankly I would find it hard to believe if most lenses and cameras aren’t supported.

   1. Are you shooting JPEG or Raw? Some lenses have profiles for only Raw.

      1. I generally shoot RAW, or NEF to be precise.

         1. Look up your exact lens model and see if appears on this list: https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/multi/lens-profile-support-lightroom-4.html If it doesn’t, you can go to the Adobe Len Profile download tool and determine if a user has built a profile you can download.

            If it does, then there is a different issue.

               Yes, my lens appears on that list. Since the recent update to Photoshop and Bridge i’m now able to actually select a lens under the Lens Profile in ACR. However my model of lens isn’t there.

               I’m going to try the Adobe Lens Profile Creator to see if that works.

10. How to open raw files from 7d Mark 2, without must convert to DNG?

    1. This camera is supported in Lightroom 5 or Photoshop CS6 or later. Otherwise, you can get the latest camera support for older versions of our software through the free Adobe DNG Converter. Details here: http://adobe.ly/ACRandDNG

11. I just bought a D610 and with PhotoshopCS3 I can’t open files. Tried downloading the Adobe DNG converter but compression artifacting is horrible. Is there any other solution? What versions of Photoshop do support D610?

    1. The DNG Converter should work fine for you. I have never seen any compression artifacts when using it. Can you share your settings from the converter so we can see if we can improve your experience?

       To answer your other question. You would need, at minimum CS6 with Camera Raw 8.3 minimum installed to read these files without the DNG Converter.

12. can I use Camera RAW 8.7.1 for photoshop element 13 ? I don’t want to use DNG converter. I have a canon 7DII camera. if the answer is yes, where can I find the link to download the plug in ? I have only seen a link for DNG converter.

    1. Camera Raw 9.0 is the latest version available to Elements 13. You can install it by selecting Help>Updates… from Elements.
