Camera Raw 9.1 is now available through the update mechanism in Photoshop CS6 and Photoshop CC.
As mentioned here, updates to Camera Raw for Photoshop CS6 only include new camera support, lens profile support, and bug fixes. The new features listed in the release notes are only available in Photoshop CC.
New Features
- Dehaze
- Many outdoor scenes have some amount of haze due to atmospheric conditions. Dehaze is a new feature for removing/adding haze and fog from pictures.
- The user can control how much haze to remove by adjusting a new slider in the Effects panel in the Dehaze section. This feature can also be used in the other direction to increase the amount of haze.
- Recommended Workflow – Adjust the white balance of the image before applying the Dehaze control.
- Local White and Black Adjustment Sliders
- Available with all 3 local adjustment tools: Gradient Filter, Radial Filter and Local adjustment brush
- Useful for fine-tuning tonality near the brightest and darkest parts of the picture. For instance, they can be used to increase the contrast of highlights.
- Recommended Workflow – Make your global adjustments first and then use the local adjustments to fine tune. Use the clip warning indicator to help avoid clipping highlights and shadows.
New Camera Support in Camera Raw 9.1
- Fujifilm X-T10
- Nikon 1 J5
- Nikon D810A
- Panasonic DMC-G7
- Pentax K-S2
- Pentax K3 II (*)
*Preliminary support. The multi-shot Pixel Shift Resolution and HDR features are still under investigation.

Fixed Bugs:
- Reduced “color blur” artifacts when processing Fujifilm X-Trans raw images. In collaboration with Fujifilm, we are still investigating methods to improve fine detail rendering and overall edge definition.
- The “Remove Chromatic Aberration” checkbox is now enabled by default for all Fujifilm cameras.
- Fixed crash when reading some JPEG images.
- Fixed bug where Camera Raw Filter would incorrectly show a soft-proofed image.
- Improved quality of display color management on some wide-gamut displays when GPU acceleration is enabled.
- HDR and Pano Merge: Cleared in-camera crop before merging rather than destructively applying it prior to merging.
- Pano Merge: Fixed a Pano blending issue specific to Leica M9.
- Fixed a bug with Panasonic LX100 – extended ISO 100 was too bright and Magenta Highlights have been fixed.
- Fixed a bug with Nikon Coolpix P7800 NRW raw files that showed only Matrix as camera profile.

Thank you!
Positive:
– Dehaze: great improvement!
– Local White and Black Adjustment Sliders: very usefull
Negative:
– after all this time, no persistent color samplers for ACRaw re-edition with no link to the same color samplers on photoshop.
obviously camera raw 9.1 is not automatically installed with the ps cc 2015 update. so now i have different versions between lightroom cc 2015 an ps cc 2015. unfortunately i can’t find a download link for 9.1 as every links only refers to 9.0. the creative cloud shows no further updates. i hope this problem will be fixed soon.
the direct link is still to 9.0… you need to adjust it to 9.1

link was adjusted but inside CameraRaw_9_1.zip, you still have v9.0 installer… the version is not 9.1.xxxx , but 9.0.0.414 ?!
finally the link has the right version…. thank you !
My recently updated Lightroom crashed for the first time while using the adjustment brush on an Olympus jpg. Whats going on? Previous versions had never done that.
Maybe you should clean you temporary storage. For me it solve severals issues with the healing brush… you could also write the settings to a XMP file (cataloge)
have a nice day & greetings from austria

Let me clarify that It was Lightroom CC2015.1
The D7200 was supported beginning with Lightroom 6.0 / CC 2015.0
Hi Rikk,
I realize that the D7200 has been supported since Lightroom 6.0/ CC 2015.0 that was never my issue. It was crashing consistently since I updated to CC2015.1 I did a chat session with the support people from Adobe and they fixed my issue. There was an issue with Preferences and Camera Raw. He reset the preference and updated camera raw. Works fine now.
Thanks for closing the loop.
Strangely, ACR 9.1 has eliminated Nikkor 28-70mm 2.8 lens from lens profile.
One of the best Nikkor Zoom Lenses is not supported
Jorge,
First check to make sure you are using this on a Raw file. The Raw Lens Profiles do not active for JPEG files.
The lens profile is available via the free Adobe Lens Profile Download tool for both the 1.5 and full frame sensors. http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=5492
Unfortunately the Camera Raw 9.1 plug-in disables hardware support for Intel HD 4000 – at least on my system: Mac OS X 10.10.4 public beta 6 (MacBook Pro 13″, mid 2012). Ok, I use a beta version of 10.10 but Camera Raw 9 works. Just want to share the info.
Camera Raw 9.1 is working fine at my laptop (Macbook Pro 13). Did you try to remove and install it again?
Great to see Nikon 1 J5 and Nikon D810A are now supported.
When doing panorama merge with more than nine or ten images, LR is very slow and does not merge the images in order. I’m running Mac OS X Yosemite on quad core i7 at 3.4 ghz with 16 gb RAM. I would think this would be more than adequate to handle the load. I have heard others have the same problem. Any solution in the works?
Can you post more details a link to the set of files you’re having trouble with? http://phtshp.us/report_a_problem
Of the reports of failures I’ve seen, the problem usually occurs with sets of images that are shot landscape and don’t overlap by 40% or the images are of a horizon with very little details to align (e.g. a shot of a flat horizon looking over a lake or desert).
Seems the handling of Sony A6000 raw files is broken in the new version. Shows only very, very slow conversion to a review image in the latest version of Bridge. My Canon 7D II raw files works just fine though.
I also see now that if I try to color label my vertical Sony photos in Bridge, it at the same time turns vertical shots to horizontal! Not good!!! That does not happen with the Canon raw files!
Can we get a fix for the A6000’s profile, too? Turns green in the deeper shadows at lower ISO. No other RAW editing software has this problem, so it’s not the camera’s fault.
I have just recently bought LR6 – now to use the dehaze features as well as the others are you telling me I need to have a monthly subscription to use the added features????
Corrrect: Lightroom 6 does not receive new features after the 6.0 release. CC2015 will receive new features as they become available.
After this update when I hit ‘F’ for a full screen view I cannot get out of full screen update. It locks the program and I need to force quit through the Task Manager. Anyone else seeing this? It is REALLY annoying because I use the full screen view ALL THE TIME to preview images and the effect of changes I made.
Which OS/Version?
Are you talking about Camera Raw or Lightroom here? Which version?
Pentax outlier shooter here….any timeframe projections regarding the K-3 II camera support for HDR and ‘pixel shift’ functions?
I’m running LR-5 on my desktop, is there hope for me?….the software is running ACR 8.7
Thanks/Bill
It’s a very new camera, but it’s on the radar. Stay tuned.
Is there a link available for Camera RAW 9.1 for Mac.
There is a link in this help article: https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/multi/camera-raw-plug-in-installer.html
Any word on when there will be support for the Sony RX100 Mark iv?
Adobe CC and especially Camera Raw, even the lastest version, is working extremely slow on my MacBook Pro with 16 GB RAM. I bought the computer to work with Adobe on but hasn’t been working good since I got it three months ago. Anyone else having these problems?
Preventing CS6 users from being able to use tool like Dehaze is a cheap tactic to force us to move to CC. Considering how much CS6 cost at the time, and how recently it was still available for sale, a user could realistically expect at least a few years use of it before being forced to upgrade.
I remember years ago, there was an event at which an Adobe rep said “how many of you have Photoshop?”. Everyone’s hands went up. The he said “and how many of you paid for it?” and most of the hands nervously went down. Those of us who legitimately purchased Photoshop several times are left feeling cheated and punished by these sorts of strategies on the part of Adobe. Had I not felt forced, I would have eventually moved to CC. Now I’ll just stick to CS6 for as long as possible. I don’t like having my hand forced.
When does the a7rII support come? I want it now
ACR 9.1.1 Was released today with support for the Sony A7R II
This works great for me great update.
I just upgraded my copy of Lightroom 6 – expecting to get the dehaze filter specifically for a stop-motion sequence of the Perseid Meteor showers. Purchased Lightroom 6 upgrade on July 25th – upgrading from Lightroom 5.x
I am very annoyed to find out that you can only get this Camera RAW adjustment setting by renting the software; you can’t own this software feature.
—
Also noticed after reading this form and the comments that my copy of Lightroom 6 that I paid for is marked as Version Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5.7 [991162] – in all the reference content.
–
Adobe has alienated long-time customers with a strong-arm lease model. If you calculate the value of Creative Cloud for the average photoshop/lightroom user, Creative Cloud does not have an equitable ROI (return on investment) based on their pricing of pay-to-play subscription model.

I want my money and my time wasted back.
Regretting my buying decision,
Annoyed Adobe Customer
I just tried the new Merge to HDR feature and the dng file I ended up with has a number of pixels that is 2-3 times the original. It happens also in Lightroom.
Did anyone have the same problem? I didn’t find mention of it on the web.
Please anybody can help to fix it?
I haven’t seen that before, Pat. Can you post the pixel dimensions of your HDR components and the resulting file. Merge to Panorama will yield a larger file (in pixels) but HDR should be the same size as your originals.
The original are 2400×1600, the resulting hdr file is 5616×3744
What is the format of the originals, were they some type of raw? JPEG? or, some flavor of special raw similar to a Canon sRaw or mRaw?
how to instal with win vista? 🙁
Windows Vista isn’t supported for Adobe Camera Raw 9.1 https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/multi/camera-raw-84-support-policy.html
I updated my ACR and I still do not have the Dehaze option…. I’m using 9.1.1. Any ideas?
Do you have Creative Cloud? Dehaze is only available with Creative Cloud. https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom/kb/compatibility-of-new-dehaze-adjustments.html
Hi I’m on Mac, I got nikon d810. my master collection version is Adobe CS 5.5. i can process my NEF files. please help me to sort this out.
Use the free DNG converter for support with CS5: http://blogs.adobe.com/crawlspace/2011/03/why-doesnt-my-version-of-photoshop-or-lightroom-support-my-camera.html
