The goal of this release is to provide perpetual customers additional camera raw support, lens profile support and address bugs that were introduced in previous releases of Lightroom.
A few clarifications for this release:
Do I need upgrade to Lightroom 6.13 when Lightroom Classic CC has already launched?
You should only update to Lightroom 6.13 if you are currently holding a license to our perpetual, non-subscription-based product.
Is this the last upgrade of Lightroom perpetual product?
As we align our investments in the direction of supporting our subscription-based products, the last version of Lightroom 6 will be coming out towards the end of the year. If there is a camera not supported in Lightroom 6, you can use the DNG converter before importing your images into Lightroom 6.
As a perpetual license customer, can I try out Lightroom Classic in tandem with Lightroom 6 to see if I am interested in upgrading?
Yes. We highly encourage you to try out Lightroom Classic to get the additional performance benefits and feature enhancements launched recently and to come. If you are interested in trying out Lightroom Classic, while still keeping a version of Lightroom 6 in tandem on your desktop, check out Lightroom Classic CC 7.0.1.

Can you please send me the Download link for 6.13?
Where can i download Lightroom 6? I just have the key. And download with cloud there is only v 7 available.
Just tested and if you happen to still be running Lightroom CC 2015, then it looks like this will update it to CC 2015.13.
link to LR CC is not working
I have lightroom 6 and want to update to 6.13 how do I do this?
The update was available for my 15″ new MacBook Pro but was not showing up on my wife 15″ MacBook Pro…… Maybe Adobe isn’t releasing to everyone at once?
How can i get LR 6.13 ? The update button within my LR6 (perpetual, non-subscription-based ) leads only to CC Versions. In my account the list of available Downloads still shows only Lightrom_6_LS11.dmg which is Version 6.10.1.
Does 6.13 have a performance increase over prior versions or is this release just for lense support?
I found no difference in performance from 6.12 to 6.13
where is the link to download 6.13?
Thanks 🙂
Found it right here.

My Lightroom 6.12 will not update to 6.13
Downloaded this standalone LR 6.13 without cloud and without subscription.
Adobe 2015: standalone versions will be available!!! Looks now that Adobe lied then.
So bye bye Adobe. I will looking for alternatives who would make SW tools what the customer wants.
Bye Bye
Excellent opportunity for competitors to step up to the plate and offer something worthwhile….
Abobe want us to pay all our life to access our work.
It is not acceptable.
I agree lets look for alternative with a business plan not based on racket.
By Abobe.
Please post a link to the LR 6.13 update.
Will tethered capture for the Nikon D850 be supported by the last version of Lightroom 6 (6.14, I presume)? For now, it’s just RAW (NEF) support, but not yet tethered capture.
I just tried to upgrade from Lightroom 6.12 to 6.13 using http://swupdl.adobe.com/updates/oobe/aam20/mac/AdobeLightroom-6.0/6.13/setup.dmg.
I got the message: Lightroom 6.13 Update is not applicable: Error Code U44M2P28
I most certainly don’t want to lose 6.12 as some people are experiencing, and I don’t want to get Lightroom Classic. How do I get 6.13?
De lesões para os trabalhadores de limpeza.
No sign of any link or mention to Lightroom v6.13 (perpetual) update.
I dont want to install Lightroom Classic CC.
You’re right. Adobe REALLY wants to p..s off its existing non-CC customers, don’t they? NO WAY am I getting into the subscription model.
Hi. I use the perpetual Version of Lightroom 6. You can simply use the “Update”-Feature from within Lightroom to get 6.13. No need to install any kind of “CC-Lightroom” etc….
if you have Lt 6 installed then install 6.13 from the dropdown Help in your menu while Lightroom is open.
You don’t need to find a different site to do it.
To the left of the Lightroom Classic download box there is a black triangle…click this and Lightroom 6.13 update is available below to dowmload
My lightroom 6.12 won´t update automatically to 6.13 and there is no link to get it. Is it really available?
I have 6.13 installed however the update didn’t appear on my wife’s computer.
While updating LR 6.8 I ended up with LR Classic CC and not LR 6.13. Through the chat room I was given the original LR6 along side LR CC but the LR6 is two years old and cannot be updated to anything but LR Classic CC.
My objection to LR CC is singular… I cannot use LR unless I’m signed into the Internet. If my Internet is down I cannot use LR!! I’m happy to pay for the CC upgrade but I cannot be dependent on an unreliable Internet to use LR when needed.
Any way to avoid that?? Thanks, Andy8400
Ditto to Jonathan and don’t want the Classic CC either.
My copy of Lightroom 6.12 will NOT update to Lightroom 6.13. When I left this comment here yesterday it was deleted, but Adobe offers me no help to update to Lightroom 6.13 so my new Nikon D850 has no Lightroom support. BE AWARE!!
Link to download?
Where is the link?
It’s seems that the link for the 6.13 is only available to the US website. If I download the file from the US website and try to update, I’ve ended up with a error that prevent the update to complete. No luck for french canadian indeed.
I finally fixed my problem by desinstalling Lightroom 6.12 without removing my preferences and reinstalling everything and applying the update from the US website. Now I am a happy camper.
The download link is here:

My LR 6.12 got updated to LR Classic CC instead of v6.13. My perpetual license switched to trial.
How do I get my LR 6.12 back?
It’s a bad joke: after upgrading my LR 6.12 I have now the Classic CC version instead of 6.13! BTW 6.12 was de-installed.
I then found the download page for 6.13 (https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom/kb/lightroom-downloads.html) – but all I got was version 6.0 – and none of the upgrades (6.0.1, 6.1, .. 6.13) was working on my mac.
I also can’t get to my existing desktop version of Lightroom – all it does is try and get me to use a trial of the new web version.
If anyone can tell me how I can get to it, I’d be hugely grateful.
I only wanted to update to 6.13 perpetual. mistakenly press update to lightroom CC classic, how do i stop creative cloud from downloading the update?
The whole “Lightroom CC” / “Lightroom Classic CC” / “Lightroom 6.x” thing is immensely confusing.
Where do I get the update from Lightroom 6.12 to 6.13 from ?
I do not want any accidents with cloud-based software or upgrades that will disrupt my ability to work.
There’s a similar set of confusion with product naming around Acrobat Pro DC and which version is which. The software might be good, but the marketing and confusion is extremely unhelpful.
Where is it available?
With my Macbook pro Upgrade from 6.10 to 6.13 worked fine, as it should. But on my W10 it did not work from 6.12. Another argument for me, not to walk the CC-way.
Hi. Has anyone managed to solve the problem of turning Lightroom 6.** into Lightroom CC after the upgrade?
Hi,
I have the same problem. It’s not possible to upgrade my standalone Lightroom from 6.12 to 6.13 on my MacBook PRO with MacOS 10.13.1. I gets the error message: U44M2P28.
I have downloaded the application installer “setup.dmg” from adobe lightroom download page.
How could this be solved? I have payed money for this license so I presume that Adobe will handle this issue.
Finally, I managed to solve the problem. Following links gave me the hints needed to solve the problem:
https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2396871
https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/troubleshoot-install-logs-cc.html
Following steps solved problem for me:
1) Install the “Lightroom_6_LS11.dmg” 6.0 version of Ligthroom on top of the 6.12 versio, i.e. no uninstallation of 6.12 needed. (Ignore the error message when the application starts)
2) Upgrade the 6.0 version with the new 6.13 version with “setup.dmg” and Voilà everything is now working…
How many “perpetual” customers need to leave Adobe before management changes their financial model. I would hope they reconsider and continue to offer a one-time charge version with updates.
I purchased a LR 6 upgrade for my LR 5 for my MAC. After much chat time with 4 Adobe peeps I still do not have LR 6 installed. I have LR 2015 CC. I even cancelled my CC subscription waited 24 hours, trashed the previous install and yet I do not have LR 6. What a product management nightmare!!!! I still have my LR 5 on the MAC.
How do I get LR 6? This should be an easy question, why is it so complicated?
It is pretty sad with what Adobe is doing nowadays to kill off a significant portion of its users who are on the perpetual licence platform all in the name of maximising profits. I would gladly pay for a LR 7 standalone but with the way the push is being done, I am pretty done with Adobe.
I have update last week to 6.12,…. But I see no update to 6.13 with Adobe Application Manager…
Nov 12 2017. For anyone who purchased the newly released standalone version of Lightroom 6.0 and your new camera is not supported, here is how I fixed the issue. I have the new Nikon D7500 (although that may not be of significance here) and after purchasing LR 6.0, my raw camera format was still not supported (since LR 6.0 was released before my camera was on the market). So, I knew that I needed to update LR 6, however, the only option when choosing Help>Updates was to upgrade to Lightroom CC. Since I had previously downloaded and tried LR CC, it was causing a conflict. So, I uninstalled LR CC. When I went back to LR 6.0 and chose Help>Updates, the update to LR 6.13 was now an option :–)
I hope this helps some of you dealing with the same issue!
YOUR SITE SUCKS . NO CLEAR APPARENT EASY TO FIND LINK FOR DOWNLOADING UPDATES
Not sure where to download?
After paying for adobe products for ten years or more I am disgusted by the way I am being treated.
I have a license for LR6 but any links to download ( such as those offered above) do not work.
I spent an hour with chat support yesterday and it was a complete waste of time.
Adobe you have become the face of corporate greed we thought we would never see.
Hi,
i am just a happy owner of a sony alpha a7r3. but i am unhappy that my lightroom version 6.1.3 will not support my ARW file from sony.
Could me some one help to use my new sony with my lightroom.
Thank you for your help
Detlef
I was understood that Adobe would continue to support standalone version when I upgraded to version 6.0. I do much of work offline and CC has no appeal. I like many other long time Adobe users will be forced to look at other software. This is too bad as I do enjoy LR and have spent lots of time learning the software. Please reconsider your support for standalone user. I am hardly the only one……Thanks!
Upgrade from 6.12 to 6.13 is not working. Update is not applicable. Error Code: U44M1P28.
On MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2016). OS Version 10.13.1.
When I chat with Abode they said that 6.13 is a subscribed product.
Lightroom CC now supports sony a7rii. When will there be an update for the Lightroom 6.13 to support the a7riii raw files?
Hi Lightroom Team,
Recently while trying to update my Lightroom 6.12 to 6.13, I downloaded and ran the install program and my Lightroom is now 6.0. I tried to update it to 6.13 by running the update from 6.0.1 through 6.13 to now avail. What should I do at least to restore to 6.12? Would greatly appreciate you advice and assistance.
