{"id":814,"date":"2013-04-02T21:13:03","date_gmt":"2013-04-03T04:13:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.adobe.com\/lightroomjournal\/?p=814"},"modified":"2020-04-23T13:38:53","modified_gmt":"2020-04-23T20:38:53","slug":"camera-raw-7-4-and-dng-converter-7-4-now-available","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lrj.mattalbright.com\/index.php\/2013\/04\/02\/camera-raw-7-4-and-dng-converter-7-4-now-available\/","title":{"rendered":"Camera Raw 7.4 and DNG Converter 7.4 Now Available"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Camera Raw 7.4 is now available as a final release through the update mechanism in Photoshop CS6. \u00a0The goal of this release is to provide additional camera raw support, lens profile support and address bugs that were introduced in previous releases of Camera Raw. \u00a0Customers of previous versions of Photoshop can utilize DNG Converter 7.4 for raw file support for newly added cameras.<\/p>\n<h3>Changes to Existing Camera Support:<\/h3>\n<p>Camera Raw 7.4 \u00a0includes a correction to the demosaic algorithms for Fujifilm cameras with the X-Trans sensor. This specifically impacts the following cameras:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Fujifilm X-Pro1 (*)<\/li>\n<li>Fujifilm X-E1 (*)<\/li>\n<li>Fujifilm X100S<\/li>\n<li>Fujifilm X20<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>(*) Based on user feedback, the default sharpening amount applied to Fujifilm X-Pro1 and Fujifilm X-E1 raw files has been increased between Camera Raw 7.4 Release Candidate and the final Camera Raw 7.4 release.<\/p>\n<p>Camera Raw 7.4 includes a correction to the demosaic algorithms for Fujifilm cameras with the EXR sensor. This correction applies only to raw images captured using the &#8220;EXR HR&#8221; mode with the following cameras:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Fujifilm X10<\/li>\n<li>Fujifilm XF1<\/li>\n<li>Fujifilm X-S1<\/li>\n<li>Fujifilm S200EXR<\/li>\n<li>Fujifilm HS20EXR<\/li>\n<li>Fujifilm HS30EXR<\/li>\n<li>Fujifilm F550EXR<\/li>\n<li>Fujifilm F600EXR<\/li>\n<li>Fujifilm F770EXR<\/li>\n<li>Fujifilm F800EXR<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Adjusted Nikon default white balance for the following camera models:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>NikonD2X<\/li>\n<li>NikonD2Xs<\/li>\n<li>NikonD2Hs<\/li>\n<li>NikonD200<\/li>\n<li>NikonD40<\/li>\n<li>NikonD50<\/li>\n<li>NikonD80<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&#8211; Fix default aspect ratio support for Fujifilm X-E1 raw files.<\/p>\n<h3>Bugs Corrected in Camera Raw 7.4:<\/h3>\n<p>The following bugs that were part the Camera Raw 7 releases have been corrected. The team appreciates the very detailed feedback the community has provided on Camera Raw 7 and we\u2019re excited to correct a number of issues experienced by our customers. These issues have been FIXED:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">Improve interactive performance at intermediate zoom levels (e.g., 33% and 66%).<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">Remove strong color cast when converting images to grayscale.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">Rendering of floating-point HDR images with unexpected embedded ICC profiles (non-linear gamma).<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">Ensure that local adjustments are synced properly when copying &amp; pasting settings in Bridge.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">Prevent point curve adjustments from disappearing off the top and bottom when using the arrow keys to adjust curve points.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">Square tile artifacts while painting with local adjustment brush.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">Grid overlay artifacts in Lens Correction panel when adjusting crop rectangle.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">Shortcut (control-click, right-click) to adjust local adjustment brush size and feather size.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">Local adjustment redrawing incorrectly after selecting a pin.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">Redraw error with the noise reduction option-drag visualization.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">Redraw error when local adjustment mouse over rollover mask, etc.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">Crash when adding a custom input\/output values in per-channel RGB point curves.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">Color casts when using the Camera Calibration saturation sliders.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">Line artifacts when processing floating-point images with a rotated crop.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">Crash when using the local adjustment brush.
