Bugs Corrected in Lightroom 5.7

  • The crop overlay displayed an intermediate step when progressing through images in the filmstrip with overlay displayed.
  • The lens profile for the Canon EF 16-35mm f/4 would not auto-select when using Lens Profile Corrections.
  • ICC profiles resulted in incorrectly clipped shadows and blacks in Lightroom.  Note that this is related to the issue identified here and only occurs on Mac OSX 10.9 and later
  • Fixed crash when rapidly adding corrections with the Spot Removal tool.
  • Improved quality of Camera Matching color profiles for the Nikon D810. Fixes visible banding issues with the Camera Standard, Camera Vivid, Camera Landscape, and Camera Monochrome profiles.
  • Context menu (right click on PC or control+click on Mac) was disabled for images contained in Lightroom mobile collections.
  • Fixed issue that prevented Lightroom 5 from reading Photoshop Elements 13 libraries.
  • Cover images set by Lightroom mobile were sometimes incorrectly reset by Lightroom desktop.
  • Sync with Lightroom mobile sometimes stalled when asset is added to same album on both LrM and LrD and later deleted
  • Resolved issue that caused Lightroom to crash when creating a Print and saving it to a mounted DVD directly inside Lightroom.
  • Publishing images to Behance using the Behance Publish Service has been restored.

  1. Same comment here: please improve x-trans prcessing, means demosaicing/processing of details. Capture one does a far greater job here…and others.
Quite a few pros jumping ships because of this…but we want to stay with lightroom!

  2. Please improve the quality of X-Trans rendering. Lightroom is far behind other products in this category!

  3. Please improve Fuji X-trans rendering, Why the biggest company has the most worst results in rendering of the Fuji RAF files???

  4. “- Fixed bug that prevented the Filter Brush cursor from displaying while changing brush size when the Graduated and Radial Filter overlay is turned off.”
How could you fix a bug with Filter Brush if it’s still not available inside of Lightroom?

  5. Thanks for finally bringing in the tehthering for the D810.

So just improvements for editing module is left on my wishlist 🙂

  6. Great stuff, but Lightroom needs serious work on the X-Trans raw file quality, unlike Apple Raw / Iridient which is sharp and detailed. Hoping it won’t take too much longer!

  7. I too was eagerly waiting for this because I bought a x100t, my first X-Trans sensor. There are a lot of other products doing a good job now. I just bought one that does x100t now.

I also cannot get this update on the Creative Cloud update channel, as of 5AM East coast time 11/19 (not where I am but cited as a reference.) I hope it will be on Creative Cloud SOON.

  8. When will you be adding the ability to remove parts of a graduated filter like you have done in Camera Raw.
This is a fantastic feature and should be a priority
    Regards

  9. Can you confirm that 5.7 works properly with Nik plugins on a Windows machine? 5.6 didn’t and I had to spend hours reinstalling 5.5 and the Nik plugins. Reluctant to install 5.7 if I think the same thing will happen again

    Thanks.

      1. Don’t upgrade to 5.7 unless you have to. I upgraded and none of my “in” options work including those associated with don’t be Photoshop CS6. I use mac OS X Mavericks. It’s annoying enough that my third-party plug-ins no longer work, but the fact that they haven’t even accommodated their own products is inexcusable, sloppy and unprofessional.

  10. It’s good to see ongoing support for Fujifilm X series cameras, but it would be very helpful to include some lens profiles for the Fujinon lenses, along with the bodies themselves.

    1. LR does corrections for the Fuji lenses using lens data embedded in the files, same as for m4/3 cameras; it does not use stand alone profiles for the corrections, so there is nothing to see in the drop-downs.

  11. PLEASE do something about Fuji X processing. You have many loyal users, but you need to give us some loyalty back! If others can do it right, so can you.

  12. Please fix the bug that causes photos in publish collections to be randomly marked for republish, its been reported your aware of this its driving me mad.

  13. Yes, please improve demosaicing of X-Trans files. I want to be able do do everything in LR instead of using a 3rd party program for demosaicing and capture sharpening.

  14. Does this mean that I must purchase the latest version of LR in order to edit RAW from my 7D Mark II, or is there a free update to my version of LR 4.4?

    Thanks,
    john

      1. If I buy now LR 5.7, what would be if LR 6 comes out in March or April? would it be free to upgrade or should I wait? Rightnow I work with LR 4.4.thanks.

        1. Standard return policy is 30 days. In the past you would need to have bought within 30 days of the LR 6 release to qualify for the upgrade for free.

  15. x-trans support guys! Like everyone else with a Fuji, I do most of my editing other apps now!

  16. I’m a long-time Lightroom user and Fuji X shooter. Please improve your X-Trans RAW support! we’ve been waiting for a while now.

  17. Hope you kept up the improvement of the Fujifilm X-trans RAW file for the LR6 release. Although LR already made a hugh step forward in X-trans processing, there’s still so work to do.

  18. Are there any differences with the Aperture plug-in and the new integrated importer option? Does it handle it better?

  19. Please add support for the Tokina 12-28mm f/4.0 AT-X Pro DX. This lens has been out for over 1 year now. Thank you.

  20. Same request here, please improve Fujo X Trans processing, we all LR users know Adobe can do that, will keep looking forward to it!

    1. It means there was no release candidate. Adobe Camera Raw was released six weeks ago as a Release Candidate – then last night as a Final version. Lightroom didn’t have the RC so it was marked as a final release.

  21. Why does LR lag so many of the other RAW converters for its handling of X-Trans II shots? I’ve been using LR since 3.x but have been considering replacing it unless Adobe can do *something* to improve the details and sharpness of the Fuji files. If these other small shop apps can do it, what’s keeping Adobe from doing so too? Please, Adobe, give us some fixes to the X-Trans IQ…

  22. Please improve Fuji X-Trans RAW processing. The way it is now may force users to get different software.

  23. Why does Lightroom not have the graduated filter brush from ACR? In the past it seems like any update to ACR would also be updated in Lr at the same time.

    1. Thanks for your feedback. As a matter of policy, we cannot add features to Lightroom dot releases. We will look to add this feature to the next
      major release of Lightroom.

  24. I am going to abandon ship unless you start dealing properly with Fuji X Tran files.
    PLEASE get your act together.

  25. The export feature in LR is, for the most part, very good – EXCEPT for the selection of the destination folder. I would like to see that dialog improved so it is more intuitive (it is now very un-intuitive. Try it, you’ll see!) and more consistent with the way most programs handle that dialog. I am also aware of a couple bugs in that feature.

  26. I just installed Lightroom 5.7 (CC) and now it won’t send files to Photoshop for editing. I tried reinstalling, syill won’t work.

      1. PS launches but doesn’t load image. The first time I tried I got an error message but unfortunately didn’t copy it, and it doesn’t come up any more.

        1. You probably told LR not to tell you about the error again.
          Go to:
          Edit>>Preferences>>General(tab)>>Reset all warning dialogues

    1. They may be integrated into the raw conversion. If you have a copy of ACR handy, you can run one of your images through ACR and it will tell you explicitly that a lens correction has been applied as part of the raw conversion. Lightroom doesn’t yet have the feature that shows the lens profile has been applied but it applies it nonetheless.

  27. How does the iPhoto importer work then? Do you still have to duplicate the catalogue, this was available prior to the update

  28. Couldn’t agree more. Please fix the X-Trans RAW processing issues and I’ll stay with LR instead of buying a Mac and switching to Iridient Developer.

  29. Would it be possible to intergrate a .PNG export option into Lr. I have been dependant on a plugin for this action which is no longer supported/working with iMac/Yosemite. Im having to export to Ps then export as .PNG for web.
Jpeg look utter poop on social media. Png is much sharper.

    Regards
    TDP

  30. When sharing a collection with a client/family/friends etc they can’t comment (on the webpage) or like the photo unless they login with an adobe account. Is there another way for them to leave comment?
A client never have time to create an adobe account just for this.

  31. Not looking at lightroom again until the Fujifilm’s XTrans is decently supported; Several products and even free & Open source systems are doing a better job than you guys; Which is a shame as you were ahead of the pack, you’re now badly trailing behind; And once people have left chances are they won’t come back

  32. It’s interesting that the Adobe employees totally ignore all of the comments regarding poor X-Trans RAW support. Certainly you guys have something to say for yourselves? Or are you silently hanging your heads in shame? Response please.

  33. I loved the lightroom workflow…but I use photoninja because of the X-Trans supporting. Adobe, please, support x-trans sensor raw on lightroom.

  34. Please add shake reduction. It really does belong in Lightroom. And please add the ability to mask graduated filters.

        1. I am on windows 7. It’ll hang up during import. Then a dialog pops up saying “The files are not recognized by the raw format support in Lightroom.” Check for update. It does import some files but not all. Ex. This time I had 103 images to import and 23 were not due to this error. I now have tried to re-install the update but the error still occurs. I tried importing onMac and it work perfectly no error.

  35. Still need the ability to share a catalog/collection of photos between multiple editors, with edits being synced across two Lightrooms. Having Lightroom require a collection to sit on an individuals computer is intuitive to multi-editor workflow as each user has to have their own copy of the originals and no easy way to share photo edits without syncing .xmp files.

  36. Now that more and more camera phones are able to save raw files, how about letting the noise filters go to “11”? With some of these files I need to export as TIFF, import again and then add another 100 in the noise filter to get to usable results…

  37. I don’t think this has been mentioned yet…but do you have any plans to improve the processing of Fuji X-Trans raw files?
    Thanks.

  38. When cropping an image tight it would be good if the viewpoint would ‘zoom in’ so the cropped area is the extent of the screen. At the moment it’s difficult to make fine adjustments when cropping in tight as the slightest mouse movement has a bit effect. Thanks & keep up the good work!

  39. A general observation about Lightroom –an improvement suggestion
Many users complain about how bloated and slow-running this software has become – we all like features, but does every user need all of them?
Seems to me, Lightroom is a Modular Product – Library, Develop, Slideshow, Books, Print, Web –
I personally never use Books and Slideshow, others may love them, but never use the Web or Print Modules, for example. Would it be possible for Users to ‘turn off’ individual Modules, either before installation, or at least, afterwards? I seem to remember that the old Creative Suite installation package allowed you to choose which products were installed from the DVD. So if you didn’t want Fireworks for example, you unticked a checkbox. This would not only reduce space used on the computer hard drive, and potentially reduce the demands on certain computer resources, if fewer services were needed when LR is running. LR seems to soak up memory the longer one uses it, and the Develop Module still slows noticeably as a session goes on. In a nutshell, would a leaner and fitter Lightroom, made possible by selective Module installation not help?

    1. “Would it be possible for Users to ‘turn off’ individual Modules, either before installation, or at least, afterwards?”

Selective installation is not possible but you can turn them off in the menu. Right click on “Book” and take away the check mark. The files remain on your computer but you won’t be seeing the options on your screen all the time nor hitting it by accident.

    2. Lean and Fit are not two words Adobe know. 20 years of using their products and still they don’t code for lean and fit.

But, now that memory is cheap, adding 8-16GB RAM to a machine does help.
Personally, I also went as far as putting my catalogue/previews on an SSD drrive too.
A 128GB SSD drive is as cheap as 8GB ram.
Unlike many users who play with small images, I work on 300-500 megapixel (the largest size LR supports) images, never go beyond about 8GB system RAM used in LR, and LR is reasonably responsive even with multiple grads, brushes etc…

If you are working on a laptop and can’t upgrade, well, that is what you get for using a laptop!

  40. ragazzi vi prego risovete il problema “conversione RAF” !
    non se ne può piú!
xtrans xtrans xtrans xtrans xtrans xtrans xtrans xtrans

  41. Another vote for X-Trans improvement. And I don’t see a fix for the Slideshow problem where the entire app crashes when selecting music to sync to the slideshow.

  42. The 5.7 upgrade completely screwed up LR. I can’t edit in Elements because LR can no longer prepare the file, images won’t load – complete disaster – can’t believe more people haven’t had problems on their macs.

  43. As many others have said,

We badly need better sharpness on X-Trans RAW (RAF) files. Many other small competitor can provide this. We want to continue using LR.

  44. Lightroom 5.7 is still not entirely happy with my new iMac Retina i7 + AMD Radeon R9 M295X. The slideshow fades are still jumpy and not smooth. Any ideas?

  45. Hi,
Does anyone know why LR5.7 does not include tethering capability for the Nikon D750? Its RAW files are now accepted, but I can’t tether with it which is a major disadvantage. Tethering is now available for pretty much every other Nikon slr, it seems very odd?

If anyone knows a way round this that would be great!

    Thanks

    1. D750 raw files were first supported on 11/18/14. Tethering support normally lags behind Raw support by one LR dot release (sometimes two). Most of this is due to the timing of the inclusion of the camera into the Nikon SDK which Lightroom relies upon to integrate to tethering. The D750 was included in the Nikon SDK on 11/12/2014 – too late to do the engineering to get it into 5.7.

      1. Thanks Rikk, much appreciated. I know you may not have an answer as such, but do you think it may be a case of waiting a few weeks for a further update 5.8, or more like several months, and maybe for LR6?

        Cheers

  46. Love the program yet I was forced into using Capture One PRO for better X-Trans rendering. I vastly prefer the Lightroom workflow and would switch back in a second if the demosaic algorithm is improved. Version 6? Please become n1 again 🙂

  47. Please improve the Fuji X trans RAW support, currently it sucks.
I dumped Canon to go with Fuji….I will dump Lightroom too if I need to….. but I love Lightroom so please support the Fuji RAW files properly.

  48. Thanks for Nikon D750 support. Please improve X-trans Raw support for my Fuji XT-1. I am disappointed with your results so far…

  49. Thank you so much for the support of the Canon PowerShot
SX60 HS. I just bought this camera a few days ago and felt
lost without being able to edit my photos in Lightroom!

  50. I will be ditching LR as my photo management and digital darkroom solution if Adobe doesn’t work to improve its Fuji X-Trans support. The fuji X-Trans has been out for several years now and has published its specs. There is no excuse for this, especially if a single guy can do it as is the case for Iridient.

  51. New update is pretty much useless. No longer can import from camera or CF reader, and synchronise folder causes crash.

  52. Still no mention of fixing the bug in the slideshow module that prevents the slideshow autoupdating when used from an auto import folder.

  53. I have been using Lightroom for a long time, but the lack of good Fujifilm X-trans processing has made me look at other software. I don’t want to move away from LR, but really guys, it has been a couple of years, and LR is still way behind on getting good quality out of a great set of Fuji cameras!

  54. I am a monthly subscriber mostly to be able to sync LR mobile for my ipad. I am using maverics. And can not believe that AGAIN there are sync issues. I contacted support with LR 5.6 and had to erase my sync-ed files and rebuild them again and re-upload to my mobile devices entirely. And now, Syncing issues again with 5.7, files wouldnt sync even in the web version. I am considering seriously to cancel my monthly subscription, honestly this is not professional 🙁

    1. Ok i finally managed to make it work by logging in and out of ipad/iphone/desktop LR. Now syncs again; tx to adobe for reaching out to help

  55. I can’t import FUJIFILM X30 RAW files (RAF) in to Lightroom v5.7. I’ve downloaded the .dmg file for Lightroom several times, and each time, before the install, deleted the existing Lightroom preferences file. Other RAW files .NEF, .ORF, RW2 fine as was with Lightroom v5.6.
I can work with the FUJIFILM X30 RAW files with no trouble via Photoshop CS6 and Camera Raw 8.7.
Any suggestions regarding Lightroom import problem would be appreciated.

      1. After the first failed attempt, I made a fresh folder, and put just one .RAF file in it. When I drag it into the library window, it shows in the import window. Import files at their current location with the progress bar underneath comes on, turns white for about 1/8th. Then nothing more happens. When I cancel the import the “no photos or videos were found to import” message comes on. Only happens with .RAF files.
        Thanks.

        1. 21″ iMac mid 2010 – 3.2 GHz Intel Core i3 – 8GB RAM
Using Lightroom everyday since 2009, no previous problems 🙂

          1. Well, I’ve downloaded and installed it for the fourth time, and now it is working. I have no idea how it happened, because I haven’t changed any settings. In fact all files including Nikon and Panasonic seem to be importing much faster. Hope it continues 🙂

  56. I would love a lens correction for 70-200 f2.8 with a 1.4 extender. I guess that also means a 2.0 extender and then the same for the 300s.

  57. I updated to LR 5.7 and at first it wouldnt load previews of pictures. It just keep saying “loading” now. I can’t open up LR all together. What do I do?!?!

  58. Please improve Fuji X-Trans RAW processing. The way it is now may force users to get different software.

  59. Yep, I too must just on the bandwagon. So many of us have waited patiently for improved Fuji X-Trans raw processing. Capture One, PhotoNinja, two guys in a garage are way ahead. We need Lightroom to be as good.

  60. I received my Nikon D750 and was disappointed LR did not yet support the files. The same day I received the D750 the final release of LR 5.7 was announced. Great timing by me or Adobe! Thanks for the prompt support and the sharing capability for collections in the new version.

    1. Hi Robert,

Olympus generally bakes the lens correction data into the raw image files, so there is no need for an external profile. Lightroom does not indicate this in the lens profile panel, though it is possible that may change in a future release. If you were to view the image in the Adobe Camera Raw plugin 8.x you would see a bit of information on the lens correction panel about the built-in profile.

  61. After installing Lightroom 5.7. I tried to use tethering with my new Canon 7D MK II. The program shows the little tethering bar that constantly goes from no camera to mine, back and forth. It never fully recognizes my camera and is therefore useless for tethering. Is it a bug? I have tried it on both my desktop and laptop. Same problem. I do hope its fixed soon. Both computers are running Windows 7. (my preferred OS) My desktop is 64 bit and laptop is 32 bit. Desktop has 16 gig ram. Laptop not so much.

    1. Lightroom 5.7 supports Raw files from the 7DMKII but it does not yet support tethering. Tether support normally follows Raw support by a version or two.

  62. What about preventing Mac from going into a sleep mode while exporting? Worked in previous version but disappear after update. Thank you.

  63. I just installed the 5.7 update. Now the Print module no longer has the option of choosing “single image/package” or “custom”. Please advise.

    1. Disregard….I found that the Layout Style was shut off in the Panels selection. sorry about that.

  64. When I shot only Nikon loved LR, now I’m shooting mostly XT-1, XE-2, and shortly X100T. Like everyone says, other software companies doing a better job, except in workflow.

  65. Please add Fuji x-trans support for all of their x-series. I really like Lightroom – but for now, Iridient Developer is where I have to go for x-trans excellence.

  66. Long time Adobe user here. I too am disappointed by how x-trans files are rendered in Adobe Lightroom. Looking forward to getting better results with x-trans.

  67. FYI: In case you hadn’t noticed, various Fuji fan sites are running campaigns encouraging readers to spam you with comments demanding “improved Fuji X-Tran support.”

  68. Yes, please improve Fujifilm X-Trans II processing. For two years now smaller outfits like Iridient, Photo Ninja, and Capture One have been offering far superior results for Fuj processing. It’s a real head-scratcher (and probably a bit embarrassing for some Adobe programmers) why Adobe can’t seem to nail this like the others, especially given its considerable resources. It’s forced me, for example, to purchase Iridient to process specific Fuji files that
Adobe just can’t handle well. Love the product otherwise, though. Thanks.

  69. Please bring Fuji X-Trans support at least up to the level of other RAW converters out there, like Irident Developer or Capture 1.
    Current support is disappointing.

  70. Please give us proper support for Fuji X-Trans. I do love Lightroom but the way it handles Fuji files is just embarrasing. Just buy the Iridient thing if you cant do it yourselves.

Ps. As much as I love lightroom I love my X-T1 more. So dont make me choose.

  71. Seems that export allows you to choose a folder and then asks again after selecting Export. Sometimes it shows the correct folder and sometimes I must re-locate it. Reason?

  72. Since moving from 5.6 to 5.7 I have lost the ability to use the gradient filters. Now when I use it and drag it over the screen I cannot see the area it affects. I used to see lines across the picture that I could drag and position before applying the settings. But now I see nothing and can no longer use it.

Please sort this out ASAP. Gradient filters are important to my workflow and without them I’m screwed.

    Thanks.

  73. Hi, please take a look at Iridient and do the same thing (or better) for X-trans files. You’re the best, I’m sure. Prove it.

  74. Ho venduto tutto Nikon per passare a Fuji. Ora ho 3 Fuji. Lo sviluppo dei Raf Fuji da parte di Lightroom non è buono. Ci sono programmi migliori. Dovete migliorare molto il trattamento X-Trans!

  75. I am extremely disappointed by all oft export artifacts that are showing up with large batch exports. I will export up to 10k frames+ at a time for LRTimelapse and wait days for it to finish and the final product has rendering error artifacts randomly through out the frame set. And it seems as if my exports are slower than ever. I have a -i7 5960x and 32gb of memory and the export process is literally taking days. Too do I need to upgrade again bot to Xeon with ECC memory to avail this BS that I have never had to deal with in the past. WTF Adobe.

  76. I posted this earlier on New Year’s Day. Has anyone experienced a failure by the “File Handling” feature in LR 5.7 to appear, when in the Import module?
I was in the process of making adjustments to the preview settings in File Handling today when the heading simply went away. It did not minimize. There’s no longer anything in the module TO minimize. It has simply vanished. The entire portion of this part of the module is gone, such that now when I’m in the Import module the top option has defaulted to the “File Renaming” feature. I cannot scroll “up” to find the File Handling option.
Anyone who knows of this malady please respond.

    Thx,

  77. Please improve spot heal/clone tools. Very fiddly unless I’m doing something wrong, it clones random selections.

  78. It would be great if Lightroom 6 supported Sigma files from the Merrills -not supporting the RAW files is a real pain within a workflow centred on Lightroom, and something my own students have asked about in the past. Is there a form we can use to request features for inclusion in coming versions?

  79. I just downloaded 5.7 64 bit (from whatever the previous version was) and it deleted all my photos. They are backuped elsewhere so not the end of the world but I’m not happy. Any advice?

    1. It sounds like you opened (or created) a new empty catalog. Check your File>Open Recent and see what the last few catalogs look like. One of them is likely your missing master catalog.

  80. I’m having trouble trying to build a time-lapse movie in the Lightroom 5.7 slideshow module. I have the Craft & Vision time-lapse template installed, but when I go to preview or run the slideshow it only plays less than half of the 200 slides in my sequence, then the screen goes blank – even though LR is still moving through the rest of the slides. From searches on the internet it seems that 5.7 has been changed from previous versions in some way and that it can no longer render T-L slides. Is this so? If so, can you please tell me when this feature will be available again? Alternatively, is there a workaround I can use? Thank you.

  81. Please add tethering for Panasonic Lumix GH4 – it should pay off as the camera is very popular now.

  82. Hello Adobe, its now really time to include tethering support for Nikon D750 -> Lightroom 5.x … please 🙂

  83. What a good laugh ! One guy in a garage provides great support for Fuji RAW files and the whole Adobe Lightroom’s team can’t make a decent job ? OK.
I’d like to know who is paying Adobe to kill Fuji and/or the X-Trans technology.

  84. I can’t seem to read Olympus .orf files from the OMD E-M5 Mk2 on Lightroom v5.7.1. Any help much appreciated.

    1. In search of same solution. Top camera last year in the 4/3rds style.
What software do I need to support?

      1. The Olympus OM-D E-M5 II was first supported in Lightroom 6.0 / CC2015. You would need to upgrade to LR 6 or subscribe to CC2015 in order to read these files natively in Lightroom.

Alternately, you can download the free Adobe DNG Converter and create DNGs from your ORF files that your older version of Lightroom can read.

  85. If Lightroom 6 does not improve X Trans quality to at least the level of Iridient and Capture One, I will abandon Adobe and go back to Phase One, Capture One. I have used Lightroom since its first release and love the UI, but the level of quality for the Fuji X-trans sensor is currently unacceptable. Even Adobe must feel embarrassed that a couple of guys in a Garage (Iridient) can do a much better job at processing X-trans files than Adobe. What the heck is going on? Aree you really content with being in last place when it comes to processing X-trans files?
Before Lightroom I used Capture One, and will purchase Capture One Pro 8 if no improvements are included in Lightroom 8.

  86. Is it possible to predict an update that allows nikon 750d tethered shooting??
I think this is a major fail for lightroom, this camera has already get out in September of 2014 and still has no tethered support in LR wich will put many professional looking for alternative software.

    1. Nikon included the D750 in the SDK (upon which Lightroom relies for tethering) on 11/12/14 which was too late for the 5.7.1 release.

  87. Can someone tell me what I’m doing wrong here. I have a D4s, I’m on LR 5.7.1 (64-bit) and connecting with a tether tools cable. I can get the program to start the tethering process, however, I am only able to select a folder on my computer as the destination. My photos do not save to the CF card in camera and my shot count only shows 59 shots available. I can’t imagine that you wouldn’t be able to save to the desktop folder as well as a CF card so clearly I’m missing something. Any advice?

    1. That is a limitation of the Nikon SDK. You cannot tether and save to a memory card at the same time.

Canon will save to the card and tether simultaneously if that is important to your workflow.

  88. You need to work on your GoGrp Hero 4 lens profile its no where near good enough. The corners go out of focus and to much distortion. I have better luck doing it manually.

  89. When will the opportunity to shoot tethered with Nikon D750 be added ?
    Regards
    Michael

  90. I have bought new Nikon D7200 and the raw format *.NEF is not supported by lightroom. please give a solution.
this camera was released in march 25th 2015.

    1. Support has not yet been released for the D7200. It will be supported in the next version of Lightroom but there is no ETA on that yet.

Till then, you can shoot Raw + Jpeg and save your Raws for when LR updates or
use your camera’s software to convert your Raw files to Tiff that Lightroom can read.

  91. I can’t believe it i have bought the Nikon d7200 and now i can’t do anything with my raw pics. PLEASE FIX THIS!!!!!!

      1. The Nikon D7200 requires Lightroom 6.0 or higher to read the raw files.

Lightroom 5.7.1 was the last version of the Lightroom 5.x series. For support with newer cameras on Lightroom 5.x, you would need to use the free Adobe DNG Converter to convert your Nikon NEF files to DNG which can be read by older versions of Lightroom and Adobe Camera Raw.

Otherwise you can upgrade Lightroom to 6.x or subscribe to Lightroom CC 2015 via the Creative Cloud Photographer’s program to get native D7200 NEF support.

      2. The Nikon D7200 requires Lightroom 6.0 or higher to read the raw files.

  92. Fuji made the X trans and RAF files, why is everyone moaning to Adobe?? Fuji have a lot to answer for, they put out cameras with so many issues and yet all its customers expect Adobe to clean up the mess. I love my old X100 but anything after that makes all you X trans buyers nothing more than beta testers for a company that doesn’t even respond to your testing. I’m done with X Trans, gone back to Nikon bang bang bang I get the shot every time in any light and the files edit just fine.

  93. Hi
when will LR finally support tethering for the Canon EOS 70D ? The camera came out in July 2013 (almost 2 years ago) The CANON SDK supports the camera since ages as well. Look at the competition: Caprure one supports tethering for the 70D since V7.2 (released 1 year ago!). Why on earth does it take Adobe to catch up such a longtime? I would accept a certain delay after a new camera comes out but not almost 2 years.

  94. Where do I get a lens correction for Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ200 and DMC-LZ60 cameras?

  95. Does anyone know if there is a profile for the new Voightlander Hellier Mk III 15mm f4.5?

    Many thanks

  96. Will there be an update to Lightroom 5.7 so it support raw files from the Nikon D7200?

  97. I downloaded the latest 5.7 version of lightroom and ever since NONE of my Developing Tools are functioning?! The main editing screen pulls up the picture but as soon as you choose a tool it goes gray. I can make adjustments to the image but it can only be seen on the photo strip on the bottom. I’ve completely uninstalled/reinstalled the program 3 times…deleted the catalog, checked for virus, even cleared out the preferences as suggested by several people above, etc and nothing is fixing my laptop. I installed it on my PC and the program works great however I need it on my laptop. Both computer are are operating on Windows 8….any ideas to help?

  98. My version of LR5.7 won’t import files taken with my Fujifilm X-TA1 at all. I’ve seen where many of you are less than satisfied with X-Trans rendering, but has anyone encountered this problem?

    Thanks in advance.
