  1. I would sure like to see an option to include DNG CONVERTER with the Camera Raw updates. I use both extensively and there is a great deal of redundancy in the two downloads /installations.
    RONC

  2. Would like to be updated when the product is ready to down load so I can edit photos from d850

  3. I can’t seem to find a profile for the Nikon AF-P DX NIKKOR 10-20mm f/4.5-5.6G VR with the new 9.12.1 camera raw.

  4. I’m using LR 6.12 with ACR 9.12 on my Mac at present. After installing just released ACR 9.12.1, the “About” dialog displays still “Camera Raw 9.12”. Does the sentence “The table below lists all cameras that the Camera Raw plug-in (versions 1.0 through 9.12.1) and Lightroom (versions 1.0 through 6.12) support.” on the supported camera page mean that LR 6.12 with ACR 9.12.1 can handle raw files of D850?

  5. Why don’t you update cs6? Why not a cs7? I tried your rental program for a year and did not like it!!!!! It was too slow!!!! And now you are going to tell me that you are not going to update camera raw for me??? That is not right!!!

  6. When will this support for RAW be added to Lightroom CC? I’m assuming the Camera RAW and Lightroom’s handling of RAW files are still separate as I couldn’t read D850 RAW files in LR after the Camera RAW 9.12.1 update.

  7. So where is the download link for standalone users on a mac? It don’t seem to be on the CC app yet.

  8. We just downloaded the suggested coverer and it still doesn’t recognise the files. At this point we can only open single images in photoshop and convert. what a tedious process

  9. The camera raw update for the D850 does not load into photoshop CS6. It does not work,
It is Tuesday evening now, and I have been at this since Sunday night. A trial version of CC photoshop, it works, but I have no preview, and Lightroom’s CC there is no previews. I can’t believe that Nikon never mentioned this problem.

I’m off to get a beer.

    1. Camera Raw 9.1.1 is the last version that works with Photoshop CS6. You will need to upgrade your Photoshop to use the new camera raw update or you can can use the free DNG Converter from Adobe to convert your NEF file into a DNG that your old software can read.

      1. Thanks Rikk for the information. I invested in ADOBE’s CS6 suite just before they stopped selling it on CD’s. I have always got my upgrades from Adobe. The suite CS6 was expensive, I also use BRIDGE, the RAW files do not work either. Sounds like Planned obsolescence. My workflow involves more Camera Raw treatment that Photoshop. It was an essential tool for me.

    1. I hardly use Photoshop at all any more. Most of the edits I do can be done in Lightroom. Before Lightroom it was Bridge and Camera Raw. Capture one pro catalogues too.

  11. Any support for Nikon 28mm f/1.4e in the LR 9.12 standalone? Mine does not recognize it with my D800e.

    1. Ehm – no. Just look what Adobe does to alle the Nikon D850-User. No update for anybody. They just don’t care enough.

  12. https://nikonrumors.com/2017/10/18/adobe-lightroom-cc-and-lightroom-classic-announced-d850-support-for-lightroom-6-will-come-on-october-26th.aspx/

Lightroom 6 is the last standalone version and I guess the D850 will be the last new camera it will support. I have all the cameras I need though I may upgrade to a D850 eventually. I have NO desire to RENT my software from Adobe. I guess when I need another program to edit my images I may look into getting Capture One Pro 10

  13. I have Adobe Creative Cloud and I just updated both Camera Raw to 9.12.1 and Photoshop, now when I try to open a .nef file from Bridge it says: Could not complete your request because Photoshop does not recognize this type of file. I shoot with a Nikon Df. Why can’t I open a raw file, if both my Photoshop and Camera raw are up to date.
